Flat Earth Chips

I agree with the positioning and target market of Flat Earth Chips. I feel that everyone is now trying to eat more healthy but don't want to give up their "weaknesses". If your weakness is chips Flat Earth Chips have solved your problem. By surfing through their website I found many interesting things that caught my eye. They provided nutritional information on each of their flavors which proved that these chips are healthy. I believe their slogan "When Pigs Fly" fit perfectly with this product. No one knew that there could be a healthy chip but Flat Earth had produced it. Their commercial was entertaining and interesting and showed that their target market seemed to be young business women. I feel that if they wanted to target college women it would be a big success. To do that, they could post flyer's on campus' and provide the chips in schools cafeterias and stores.

Ethics in Advertisments

After researching many articles and advertisements that include alcohol it seems to me that their main target market are people under the age of 21 up to about 23. A lot of the advertisements included celebrities. I know the celebrities modeling for these alcoholic beverages are of age but many of the teens who look up to these people aren't and if they see their role model in ads for alcohol they think its the "cool thing to do". An example of this is Coors Light Beer. Two of their advertisements include young celebrities. I feel that they need to up the age of their target market and try to appeal to more of an older age group. This may not help much with under age drinking but trying never hurt.

Dove

What does Dove mean to you? When I hear the word Dove I would just think about the body wash and how much I liked. Well I have decided to research this brand to find its real identity. By surfing on their homepage I have found many great things about the brand Dove. The Dove logo is the silhouette of a silver dove flying under the Dove logo. There is no other particular color scheme for this brand because it sales so many different products that have scents and they advertise these scents by using all colors.
I feel as though people only see this brand as soap, deodorant and other products used by many women but they have another purpose other than providing us with great products. They are focusing on the women and girls of today and their self-esteem issues. Many young women and even girls suffer from low self-esteem problems. Dove has made it their responsibility to help these women and girls by creating the Campaign For Real Beauty and the Self-Esteem Fund. They are getting this information out into the public by continuing to create eye catching advertisements that show many differnet types of women and show that they are all beautiful in their own way. They have also held confidence-building programs that send out positive messages that defined beauty in many different ways. By buying this brand it not only inproves your health and skin but it also helps to improve other womens views about themselves.
